Maya Komakhidze

Ms. Maya Komakhidze is an Affiliated Researcher at PMC Research. She is responsible for conducting qualitative and quantitative research on various socioeconomic issues in Georgia.

She is also engaged in the development of policy briefs and supports research on selected topics by preparing research proposals, literature reviews, and data analysis. Furthermore, she assists in managing ongoing projects and supports the team in mobilizing its core and non-core resources. 

In her career to date, Ms. Komakhidze has accumulated valuable experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation. Some of her past experiences include working as an Evaluation Consultant for several projects initiated by esteemed international organizations, such as the United Nations Developing Programme (UNDP), the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the European Commission. She also occupied the position of Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation Assistant at World Vision South Caucasus and was a Junior Fellow Researcher at the Caucasus Research Resource Center.

Ms. Komakhidze has a master’s degree in International Development and Management from Lund University and holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Tbilisi State University. She is fluent in Georgian, English, Russian, and Spanish.
