The main objective of this project is to identify and recommend specific interventions of the SBFIC aimed at supporting rural SMEs’ development in Azerbaijan.

In the process, we will undertake the following activities:

  • Analyze the existing state strategies and policies with respect to the development of the agricultural sector and rural SMEs in Azerbaijan;
  • Analyze the main constraints for rural SMEs’ development in Azerbaijan;
  • Identify specific directions for the SBFIC and define specific actions for it to take;
  • Analyze state and donor interventions in Azerbaijan in the prioritized areas;
  • Analyze the existing gaps between the prioritized actions and the interventions of state and donor organizations; and
  • Develop recommendations for the SBFIC.
