The aim of the study is to assess the current situation including access to rights and services for, as well as the protection needs of, people in Georgia aged 14-29 holding asylum seeker, refugee, or humanitarian status.

The study covers the areas of overall protection, health and wellbeing, education and learning, transition to work, and participation and engagement of the above-mentioned categories of young persons.

For the purposes of this study, we employ a mixed-method approach. In particular, PMC Research is conducting a comprehensive telephone survey in six locations of Georgia, where most of the youths holding asylum seeker, refugee, or humanitarian status reside, namely Tbilisi (including surrounding locations Martkopi and Rustavi), Kutaisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Poti, and Akhmeta. Overall, the plan is to survey around 500 youths.

Furthermore, to validate and expand upon the results of its desk research and telephone survey, PMC Research will conduct two online focus group discussions, after which the findings will be synthesized, and recommendations will be produced addressing the objectives of the study.
