Project Description:

PMC Research, together with Ilia State University, Gori State Teaching University and Iakob Gogebashvili Telavi State University (TESAU) are working on applied research supporting regional development in Georgia under the European Union funded project Advancing Regions for Sustainable Development (ARSD) administered by Center for Training and Consultancy (CTC). The objective of the applied research is to facilitate the competitiveness of Tbilisi and its adjacent areas through identifying and studying this region’s most competitive economic sectors. 

PMC Research will provide services related to the following activities:

  • Development of a theoretical framework and research design|Elaboration of a methodological approach to identify competitive sectors of Tbilisi and its adjacent areas
  • Collection and analysis of primary and secondary data
  • Identification of the most competitive sectors of Tbilisi and its adjacent areas
  • Elaboration of a survey questionnaire to study value chains of competitive sectors
  • The carrying out of value chain analyses of competitive sectors
  • Elaboration of recommendations for local and central government to increase the effectiveness of competitive sectors
  • The delivery of presentations of the findings of the applied research and recommendations to improve the effectiveness of competitive sectors
