The objectives of the study are ​​to overview labor market and retraining and training providers in Georgia, as well as to provide analyses to be used to map educational and employment opportunities in Georgia. With this in mind, the following activities are being undertaken:

  • An overview of labor market tendencies in Georgia by region;
  • An overview of economic sectors in Georgia by region;
  • An overview of the business environment in Georgia by region;
  • Mapping of the Employment Support State Agency;
  • Mapping of job portals and current vacancies (an exact date will be selected for this, serving as a snapshot); and
  • An overview of retraining and informal educational course providers.

To achieve the research objectives discussed above, the study will employ a mixed-methods research design, integrating quantitative and qualitative methods. Specifically, secondary data will be analyzed to inform an overview of labor market and training and retraining providers, and KIIs will be applied to gather comprehensive information about employment opportunities in Georgia.
